Flat plate milling vice

This is a special vice or jig I made for milling across the top surface of a piece of plate or strip, it's handy when you need to mill the whole surface.
A normal vise would be too small and if you clamp it down you would have to keep moving the clamps.
It's 300mm long and can take from 25-150mm wide material. The moving jaw has about 2mm travel and spacing strips are used to make up the distance for different width plate. Due to the 45 degree angle on the moving jaw the work piece is also pushed downwards as the jaw is tightened, this ensures the workpiece sits flat on the base.
