Our Story
Eccentric Engineering is a one-man Australian business, manufacturing a range of unique and innovative workshop tooling for repair shops, home shop machinists, model engineers, gunsmiths, and clockmakers.
Eccentric Engineering was started by myself in 2008. Originally the business only included the Diamond Tool Holder, which I took over the manufacture of from my friend Des Burke (D.P Burke Tool Making). Des developed the concept when his eyesight was failing and he had to retire from the workforce. Des eventually stopped making the Diamond Tool holder when he turned 80.

The business has expanded over the years to include other niche products developed and added to the lineup.
A large proportion of our sales are to international customers so overseas orders are no problem, we ship to all four corners of the globe.
All manufacturing is done either in house or by Phil at Philtech (a local one man CNC shop) who I partnered with to develop the Flexi-Chuck workholding system.
We use local Australian suppliers for all materials and fasteners wherever possible, the castings for the Diamond Tool holders and Turnado are sourced from lost wax casting plants in both Australia and New Zealand.
The Crobalt cast alloy tool bits and the parting blades are manufactured in the USA.
